I wanted everything in my quilt to look like it was made of candy. 🙂 Here are the fabrics I’m using. . .
- Rainbow Sherbet fabric bundle for the background blocks
- Rainbow Bright fat quarter bundles, Little Stripes fat quarter bundles, and Gingham Play fat quarter bundles for the appliques
- Fairy Frost fabric in Snow (a shimmery/sparkly fabric from Michael Miller) for the snowy ground
- A tiny bit of brown fabric (Studio Basic in Taupe from Timeless Treasures) for all the tree trunks

I love the “Made by Lynn” tree skirt where she used these signage additions to make a giant circular “neighborhood” style houses adaptation. The “neighborhood” (Dresden plate style assembly of wonky wedges) was really popular on Pinterest when it came out and although I made a few of my own they were such a pain and nowhere as easy as your Shiny Happy Houses. The way Lynn made the tree skirt giant sized makes it even easier! Now I might have to make a tree skirt 🙂

Do you know if Lynn made her tree skirt pattern up herself or used a template from somewhere? Maybe that’s an add-on pattern you need to provide (hint hint LOL)
