Farewell Ami Club

December 1, 2019

After three years (that’s 36 patterns!) Ami Club is now closed.

I hope you all have had as much fun as Stacey and I have!

Pippa Puppy is the final pattern in the club. If you’re a club member, you’ll be able to download the pattern here until your membership runs out. Everyone’s membership and download access will run out on different days, depending on the date they signed up.

If you have any trouble accessing the final pattern (or didn’t see this notice of the closing until after your membership expired) please contact me at smile@shinyhappyworld.com and I’ll get your pattern to you.

You can find all the crochet patterns (including previous Ami Club patterns) here.

The end of the club doesn’t mean we won’t be designing more crochet patterns – just not one every month. 🙂 Instead, we’ll be designing some patterns that take a little longer. We’ve had requests for Mystery Crochet-Alongs and more Mix & Match patterns – so look for those (and maybe some crocheted puppets and baby toys) in 2020. You can sign up for the mailing list here.

Happy August!

We just wrapped up a Beach Craft-Along so I had swimming on the brain – and decided I needed to make a water buffalo for this month’s Ami Club pattern.

A water buffalo who can’t swim yet, so he needs a swim ring. 🙂

I was so tickled with the results that I decided to make him this month’s calendar. 🙂

(I named my water buffalo Walter after my grandfather. That’s why he has the super high-waisted swim trunks. That was the fashion in my grandpa’s day. 🙂 You can, of course, switch to buffalo-colored yarn a few rows before I did if you want your buffalo to look a little more contemporary.)

Meet Guinevere! And All Her Friends!

The Guinevere Guinea Pig pattern is in the shop!

This one is super easy and fast to stitch up – and so much fun!

The pattern includes instructions for different coloring – if you’re up for a few color changes. Take a look at these versions made by Elizabeth and Santina.

Santina even designed her own color changes to make them match piggies at her local shelter who were up for adoption!

My daughter thought we needed a rainbow of piggies and stitched up these cuties.
