Back when I did a lot of freezer paper applique, my folds instantly coming unfolded in the North Carolina humidity would drive me bonkers. Starch is the magic answer! And it makes fabric behave in other situations too. Read for all the details.

They look really clean and nice and they’re WAY easier to work with than sew-on snaps, which I always fumble. The Big Bag - a free large tote bag pattern from Shiny Happy World

I based the size and shape of this bag on a tote I got IN HIGH SCHOOL and still use decades later. It is, in my opinion, the perfect bag.
